Alto Red Eagle Power Packs for 6L80E Transmissions
The new 6L80E / 6L90E Alto Red Eagle Power Packs are here. The 3-5 direct clutch has 14 single sided clutches and the 4-5-6 overdrive clutch has 18 single sided clutches. These are the two weak points in the 6L80E transmission. This is a 75% larger clutch apply area in the 3-5 clutch and a 50% larger clutch apply area in the 4-5-6 clutch. PATC is proud to present to you our new 6L80E power packs. Just as we revolutionized the industry with our 700R4 / 4l60E products we are now proud to bring you the next generation in GM performance. We have been working extensively on the new 6L80E transmission in conjunction with ALTO products and now bring to you our latest creation. The new power packs feature a state of the art friction material that has a higher friction coefficient that is unparalleled to any other clutch disc on the market. We have increase the total clutch apply area by adding more friction clutches to the power pack as well. Higher clutch count = higher apply area. Combined with higher friction surface area this decreases slippage which is a major factor in contributing to premature failure in high performance applications. In developing these clutches we also have introduced thermography, (which is the usage of thermal resolution) to produce a state of the art steel material that not only provides a unmatched mating surface for the clutch but also provides a metal that will not cone or warp under extreme stress.

Red Eagle clutches are not only saturated in a phenolic resin but have a second saturation in a silicate. The silicate imparts high heat resistance to the friction paper. Power Pack means extra clutches are added for more holding power. Power Band means extra width is added to the band for more holding power.

Extreme Duty Metal Impregnated Carbon Fiber Flex Band #11CF. Alto Carbon Fiber 700R4 / 4L60E band made exclusively for PATC to our specifications. No one else has or sells this band. This band is an Alto Carbonite PowerBand but in the standard width. It has the heavy duty thick anchors on both ends. Alto is pleased to announce a new Carbon lined 2-4 band for the GM 700R4 family of transmissions. This new band will retro back to the 1982 700R4 and will also fit the 2005 4L65E and all the transmissions in between. Both of the band anchors have been hardened to ensure durability. The Carbon lining is up to the task of any application that these transmissions are used for. This is a direct replacement band, for best performance and to prevent a "Comeback" from 2-4 band failure. (We recommend this band over the #11 band because the wide band must be used with a new reverse input drum otherwise the band will burn on the two outer edges.) Cost $23.00, 5 or more $19.00 each

#11. 700R4 / 4L60E / 4L65E oversize Alto Carbon or Red Eagle 2-4 PowerBand. These bands are 3/8 (2 5/8") of an inch wider than the stock band and has 15% more apply area. They also have a 60% thicker welded case anchor. The Carbon fiber bands have the firmer shift of the two. These two bands are sold with a new OEM Delco drum as a two piece kit. They must be used with a new drum otherwise they will burn on the two outer edges. Cost $139.00 for the Carbon Fiber PowerBand and drum (NEW #11C2) or $128.00 for the Red Eagle band and drum.

#22X. Alto 200-4R oversize intermediate bands. These bands are over 3/8 of an inch wider than a stock band. A full 2 1/4 inches. This is a whopping 20% more holding power. The reason for the machine work on the C1 clutch hub is the early / smaller thrust bearing needs to be upgraded to the larger late model thrust bearing anyway. A new larger thrust bearing and instructions come with the input shaft.

#PG5. The Alto Hi-Performance GM aluminum racing Powerglide Kevlar or Red Eagle PowerBand is the holding element whenever the unit is in low gear. The Alto PowerBand is engineered wider than the OE style band (.336" wider); therefore giving 15% more holding capacity. Anchors have been offset to insure proper alignment when installed. This larger capacity band will be very beneficial for the Hi-Performance end user. Cost $167.00

Alto Chrysler Intermediate Shafts
We are pleased to announce our complete replacement program for the intermediate shafts used in the rear wheel drive overdrive Daimler Chrysler transmissions. These original shafts along with the overdrive planet sets have a high failure rate.
Alto offers two styles of these very popular intermediate shafts.
1. OE style, produced to the exact specifications of the original manufactured shafts.
2. Modified style, produced with larger lube feed holes to prevent "lack of lube" failure of the overdrive planet set.
